Public Works/Utilities

The Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance of town-owned roads, buildings, stormwater management systems, gardens, parks, vehicles, and equipment.

The department also provides solid waste collection  to single-family residential properties in our community and in the various business districts.

Below are additional forms you may need via the Public Works Department. 

If you require forms other than those listed below, please call the Public Works Office at 970-524-5024. 

Please visit the Building Department for permit requests and applications related to commercial or residential construction.

Utility Bills

Your bill is mailed the first of the month for the previous month and is due by the 24th. You can drop your utility bill off at Town Hall after hours in the mail slot to the North (left) of the front door entrance. OR you can set up an online account thorugh Xpress Bill Pay.

All Locates are done through Colorado 811. Before you dig, Contact the COlorado branch for a locate.

Trash & Recycling

The Town of Gypsum provides *residential and commercial trash service. Trash is picked up on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Your scheduled pickup day can be verified by calling 970-524-5024. If you prefer, you may contract with another trash service provider.

Snow Removal

The Town of Gypsum plows all dedicated town streets. All property owners are responsible for keeping their sidewalks clear of ice and snow.

Town Parks

The Town of Gypsum is host to many parks and recreation areas; playground equipment, picnic tables, horseshoe pits, volleyball court, basketball court, baseball fields, public batting cages, seasonal ice rink, skateboard park, open playfields, and bike/walking paths.

Irrigation Water

Some subdivisions in Town have irrigation water for outdoor watering this is non-potable water (don’t drink it). If you have irrigation water, you must not use the potable Town water for outdoor purposes.

All questions regarding irrigation billing on your utility bill should be directed to your HOA representative.
