This Code constitutes a republication of the general and permanent ordinances of the Town of Gypsum, Colorado. The Code is conveniently arranged in titles and chapters, and the various sections within each chapter are catchlined to facilitate usage.
The Code Enforcement Officer focuses on compliance with all town codes and ordinances that may affect the town's quality of life, its aesthetics, and the welfare of its citizens. Code Enforcement works each and every day to ensure that Gypsum remains a safe and desirable place to live and do business for all of our residents and visitors.
Building Codes are a set of rules that specify the standards for constructed objects such as buildings and non-building structures. Buildings must conform to the code to obtain planning permission. The main purpose of building codes is to protect public health, safety and general welfare as they relate to the construction and occupancy of buildings and structures.
Properties within the Town are designated with zoning categories that determine the uses that will be allowed to take place on the property.
Gypsum Municipal Court is typically held the third Tuesday of every month with Judge Terrence Quinn presiding.
