Whether it’s family movie nights under the stars, those honky-tonk Gypsum Daze, or the Community Cleanup, Gypsum loves events and any excuse for fireworks!

Check out this year’s event line up below.  If you or your organization would like to volunteer to help at any of our events let us know by filling out our Volunteer Form. Or, when we are in or headed into event season we will post event-specific volunteer signups below.

Spring Scavenger Hunt

Our usual Spring EGGstravaganza event is going to look a little different (yes, we know you are tired of hearing this, we are tired of saying it!) But please be patient – the end of the pandemic is within view and we are hopeful of great things to come! 

Now, onto the fun stuff… instead of gathering for a traditional egg hunt, we’ve created a Spring Scavenger Hunt experience that you can participate in (for prizes!) Just download the free GooseChase App on your smartphone, then get out and enjoy springtime around Gypsum (some missions in the hunt can be done indoors, too.) You can participate as an individual or team and complete “missions” within the hunt. Each mission earns points. Awards will be given at the end of the hunt period.

March 20th-April 5th

HOW TO PLAY!

  1.  Download the FREE GooseChase App on IOS or Android.
  2.  Review the GooseChase Player Instructions HERE.
  3.  Search for Game: EGGStravaganza
  4.  Enter Game Password: GYPSUM
  5.  Earn points for all completed missions! Play as an individual or a Team.
  6.  Prizes (Spring Baskets) will be distributed to 100 of the top point-earners at game completion. In case of ties, winners will be drawn at random.

GENERAL RULES 

  • Scavenger Hunt is open to residents and employees of the Town of Gypsum ONLY.
  • No purchase necessary to win.
  • You will be notified via the email you supply when you play the game if you are a winner (top 100 finishers based on points accumulation.)
  • Prize baskets will be available for winners to pick up at Town Hall, starting April 6th. Prize baskets must be picked up at Town Hall, they will not be sent out.
  • This contest is family-friendly; any photo submissions deemed to be inappropriate will immediately be removed and the player/Team will be disqualified.
  • Names and photos submitted as a part of this contest may be used for publicity and marketing purposes.
