RecycleThe Gypsum Community Recycling Site is located by Ridley’s Market, at the end of Oak Ridge Dr. This site offers DUAL STREAM recycling. Please recycle responsibly and keep our community recycling area accessible and operable by following the sorting lists below, and at the site.

For recycling to work, it is critical that the correct items are placed in the appropriate bin. Please also remember that you cannot place recycled items contained in plastic trash bags in the recycling bins. You must dump the recycling contents out of the plastic trash bag and into the proper bins. 

Additionally, the Community Recycling Site is not a dump site for any and all waste. The site is under 24-hour surveillance and violators can be ticketed and fined, per the Gypsum Municipal Code per Title 8.

USED OIL & ANTIFREEZE:

Used oil and antifreeze drop off for Gypsum residents (no commercial/businesses, please) is available at the Gypsum Public Works facility.   

The Gypsum Public Works Oil Waste Facility accepts the following petroleum-based materials: 

  • Motor Oil 
  • Hydraulic Oil 
  • Gear Oil 
  • Transmission Fluid 
  • Power Steering Fluid 

YARD WASTE:

Please take yard waste to the Vail Honeywagon Compost Facility.

OTHER:

Electronics/E-Waste, Tires, Batteries, Paint/Solvents, Appliances, Lumber, Household Hazardous Waste (paint, pesticides, chemicals, etc.) must be taken to Eagle County Solid Waste & Recycling in Wolcott.
