As a Council, we are committed to nurturing Gypsum’s small-town spirit, even as we grow. We work hard – together – for the good of the community. It starts with listening to what the town needs and taking care of our own. If it’s practical, we’re on board. If it’s a practical joke, well yes, that was us too.  

Meetings

Gypsum Town Council meetings occur in the Council Chambers on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.  

Our meetings are open to the public and we always enjoy seeing community members in the audience. If you would like to address the Town Council during a meeting, please contact the Town Clerk to schedule a time to appear on the agenda. Or, if you have comments concerning the approval of commercial development, annexation, or other Town business, you may speak to the Council during public comment when that topic appears on the agenda. 

Members

The Gypsum Town Council consists of a Mayor and six council members who head the government of the Town of Gypsum. The Mayor and council members are elected representatives of the citizens of Gypsum. Every other year three council members or, three council members and the mayor, are up for re-election.  The next municipal election will take place in 2024.
